On Thursday, April 14, I showed up to do my ikebana demonstration for the ARTISTS AT WORK event at Banbury Town Hall. I had a great time, together with print maker, Margaret Condon, and ceramicist, Penny Varley.
Special thanks to Christine O’Sullivan and Claire Wright who helped make the whole thing happen.
Here are a few fun photos from the event:
My mother taught me to arrange flowers, and someday I hope to pass it on. Here I am with my own daughter.
In this arrangement, I am working with orange lilies, pussy willows, and some unusual stalks of kangaroo paw, which come all the way from Australia.
There’s Penny in the distance, working on a coiled pot, and Margaret’s table displaying her prints is to the left.
Three arrangements, and a pair of my Zen Love fibre earrings.
Me, with some of my finished arrangements and other artwork.
Thanks to everyone who came to see us at work!
